This clip documents the rather grim end for a couple of cosmonaughts onboard a mir like space station.

VMP created the space station shots with traditional computer geometry and lighting, the sun, on the other hand, was a complex combination of many layers of particle effects.

The result is a convincingly articulate sun surface, the solar flares and other cosmic effects seen throughout the video
